Stephens's Camping Out Series, published in Philadelphia by Henry T. Coates & Co., with copyright entered in 1873 by James R. Osgood & Co. Written as a first person travel narrative recorded by Wade, it follows a group of American boys on a sailing voyage to Iceland in pursuit of the great geysers. Stephens was a prolific contributor to Youth's Companion and one of the
