Remnant, 7/8 Yard, Glistening Orange Tangerine/Blue/Brown Diamonds, Silk Ikat Handloom from India, 44" Wide #TK-39 Square 3/4" diameterTangerine, a deeper red orange, steel blue and coppery brown diamonds, all done in the weave. Precise dying of the silk threads was done prior to weaving and the result is stunning. This silk is much like dupioni: a bit slubby and textured, but also lustrous and shiny, midweight, with some body and crispness. The colors are exquisite together, and the oranges have so much sheen they reflect the light like gold. A true ikat, both sides are the same.
