FENDER BASSMAN 1967 Blackface Amp Head One Owner NICE! 60s Amplifier AB165 gibson sg junior 2011 re-issueDescription You're looking at a vintage 1968 blackface Fender Bassman. It's in excellent cosmetic and playing condition. I got this from a guy who was the original owner. He said he hasn't really played it much since the late 70s. Just been sitting in his closet. I expected it to have lots of issues. I fired it up and, surprise, sounds like a champ. You can tell it hasn't seen as much action as most Bassman heads this old. The tolex is in very good
Synthetic bone nut
but in general a well-worn mild relic guitar
fat sounding humbuckers and great feeling neck
For a 21-year-old guitar
and the slim taper 60s profile neck feels good in the hands
Guitar itself looks very clean
Previous owner installed a blue pearloid pickguard and custom aftermarket pickups
several minor playing marks and a chunk out of one of the P-bass pickups that doesn't affect the sound (see pics below)
Controls: Master Volume
Shows some rack wear around screw holes
and you can't buy these new anymore
but does have some marks (see pics)
